"Rage" by Richard Bachman (a.k.a. Stephen King) →
One of the quickest books to be discontinued, King wrote ‘Rage’ under a pen name to avoid outright criticism. After ‘Rage’ was published, three school shootings and a church shooting took place by students who owned a copy of the book. King called for a ban of the book, stating at the end of a rewrite: “Now out of print, and a good thing.”
